Premium Quality
Our dining tables and chairs are made of solid walnut wood and carbon steel. Meticulous attention is paid to the craftsmanship and details from raw material selection to packing and shipping. Our products do not include MDF, veneers, or composite materials.
Regionally-Sourced Walnut
Our walnut is sourced from sustainable farms in the Kentucky region. The owners take great pride and care in their products. Solid walnut furniture is revered for its strength and durability, and admired for its rich, dark color. Walnut wood is dense, absorbs shock well and resists decay.
Carbon Steel
We chose carbon steel for its strength and pliability. It has a handsome finish and is more durable compared to other metals — having a higher tensile strength than stainless steel. Carbon steel is also sustainable and easy to recycle and reuse. The table base and chair back are 3/16th gauge.
handcrafted
Our craftsman skillfully hand sands each piece of walnut for precise measurements. The tabletop pieces are hand-sanded for approximately six hours to reveal the exquisite wood grains. He applies three layers of catalyzed lacquer by hand in 2-hour increments to ensure a consistent and warm color.
Powder Coat Finish
The powder coat finish on the carbon steel increases durability, creates a polished finish, and gives customers a luxurious range of color choices. Powder coating is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat to create a hard finish, tougher than conventional paint.
Steam bending
Steam bending is a traditional process steeped in history. It was once a vital practice, paramount to the production of weapons, tools and water vessels. It enables wood to be manipulated into a wide array of remarkable and interesting shapes. We steam bend seven thin layers of walnut to produce the chair base – which achieves our goal of balancing durability, function and style.
