Attention to Detail

Design is at the heart of what we do. It’s the expression of our passion, interests and skills to build a high quality experience for you. From our perspective, design is not just about upgrading the materials, it’s about cultivating a very personal experience from first impressions to placing an order to delivering and maintaining your selections and beyond.

Our design approach is four dimensional: Design for Product, Design for Build, Design for Shipping and Design for Simple Assembly. Our attention to detail elevates your purchase from a simple transaction to a long-term experience!

Design for Build

Our personal dining area was used as a lab to design and build our furniture. We strive for simplicity in the build, which results in a streamlined appearance, meticulous function, fewer hand-built errors and faster turn-around.

Design for Shipping

In my prior experience supplying raw materials to IKEA, I gained an appreciation of the details needed to effectively flat pack furniture to reduce shipping costs, shipping materials, damage and cubic space … and it helps the environment, too!

Design for Simple Assembly

Based on our experience in assembling A LOT of furniture, we take extra care to design the parts and instructions for simple assembly at home. When putting together mock-ups, we ask ourselves — how can we simplify this for customers?

Now that we have your attention, we know that what you really care about is that we designed a product for your everyday experience

Design for Product

Beveled Edge

The beveled edge not only exhibits style by softening the masculine appearance of the solid wood table top, it also serves a functional purpose. It provides more space between your legs and the tabletop when you pull up close to enjoy your meal! Doesn’t that look pretty cool from this angle?

Wood Grain

Can you get this beautiful, organic finish from mass produced veneer? No! Can you maintain that finish with MDF over the years? No! Do you have kids, friends or that relative who drops plates, pots, or glasses on your tabletop? Then, you’ll want to go with our durable walnut wood over MDF.

Palermo Chair Profile

Chair Back

The chair back is like no other! The carbon steel provides firm and reassuring support. The subtle Italian curve designed into the bottom of the chair back gives it a gentle spring so you can lean back slightly or even rock.

Chair Handle

We refined the chair design based on real-life, day-to-day experience. The chairs had to be moved to sit and to vacuum the rug. We cut a hole at the top to grasp the chair. The initial handle was not big enough – so we made it bigger to grasp the chair easier, faster and more comfortably.

Tedesco Rosa Chair Seat

Chair Seat

The chair seat features soft rounded curves under your knees for comfort and relieves pressure on your hips and back.

Customer Care Kit

After sacrificing for the highest quality wood and metal, we certainly wanted to take the steps of protecting and maintaining our investment. And we know you’ll want to do the same. For every order, we include a care kit that will help your dining experience last a lifetime.
